Team Food Bank Half Marathon Training Program

Join Team Food Bank on 3/31 and train for one of the half marathons associated with the San Francisco Marathon this summer while supporting the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks!
San Francisco and Marin Food Banks is partnering with Marathon Matt to launch Team Food Bank, a half marathon training/fundraising program benefitting San Francisco and Marin Food Banks that culminates with completion of the '2nd' half marathon associated with the San Francisco Marathon on Sunday, 6/16!
Start Date: Sun., Mar.31, 2013 @ 9:30AM
Training: 10 weeks-3/31-6/16, 3 workouts per week (Tues. Nights@ 6:30PM, every Thurs.@ 6:30PM, and Saturday Mornings@ 9:30AM)
-Tuesday night run workouts @ 6:30PM launch from the Marina Green Monkey Bars (adjacent to Marina/Webster) AND outside PSOAS Massage+Bodywork @ 333 3rd Street (btwn Folsom & Harrison)
-Thursday night workouts @ 6:30PM launch from the Marina Green Monkey Bars (adjacent to Marina/Webster) and include '2' options: A bootcamp style workout OR a speed oriented workout.
-Saturday morning runs @ 9:30AM launch form the Marina Green Monkey Bars unless specified otherwise in the schedule/newsletter.
Workout Locations: Marina Green Monkey Bars (adjacent to Marina/Webster) & PSOAS (333 3rd Street) on Tuesdays. Marina Green Monkey Bars (adjacent to Marina/Webster) on Thursdays. Some Saturday run workouts will take place in Golden Gate Park, Lake Merced, or Ocean Beach.

Team Food Bank also includes the following:
- A technical training shirt
- A twice weekly email newsletter supporting your training.
- A comprehensive training schedule
- Chomps, GU,and GU Brew provided by GU Energy.
- Clinics/Seminars with PSOAS Massage+Bodywork, MV Nutrition, and more.
- Over 150 fun teammates to run with!
- Team social events (bar nights, team dinners, etc.)!
Team Food Bank Participant Details
PARTICIPANTS IN TEAM FOOD BANK ARE ASKED TO RAISE $1300 IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM. THERE IS A $100 REGISTRATION FEE THAT YOU WILL BE CHARGED. THIS FEE WILL BE APPLIED TO YOUR FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT.
WE DO TAKE YOUR FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT ($1300) SERIOUSLY. WE WILL DO EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER TO HELP YOU REACH/EXCEED THE MINIMUM, BUT IT IS OUR EXPECTATION THAT YOU DO EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER TO RAISE THE NECESSARY FUNDS. IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THIS, PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR TEAM FOOD BANK.
PARTICIPATION IN TEAM FOOD BANK DOES NOT INCLUDE RACE REGISTRATION FOR THE HALF MARATHON. YOU MUST REGISTER FOR ONE OF THE HALF MARATHONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SAN FRANCISCO MARATHON ON 6/16 SEPARATELY.
Thirty percent of gross fundraising dollars will be paid to Marathon Matt to cover the costs of production for the program which include staff compensation, fundraising support services, event production expenses, technical t-shirts for participants, nutrition products, and program marketing/advertising
